Preferred Skills: Industry recognized certification. At least two years of experience teaching in a vocational setting. Prior experience developing curriculum related to industrial principles.

Adjunct Japanese Professor Overland Park Main Campus
Position Summary: The Foreign Language department is seeking a Japanese adjunct professor to substitute and/or teach Elementary and Intermediate level Japanese language courses in the evening on Zoom or in person. JCCC is located in Overland Park, KS, the second largest city in the state of Kansas and part of the greater Kansas City Metro. The Kansas City Metro is known for its museums, restaurants, and music and art scenes. JCCC is similarly dedicated to creating and maintaining a rich cultural community, with an award-winning contemporary art museum and center for the performing arts located on campus. The Foreign Language Department is part of the Communications Division. Many of our students are non-traditional, military veterans, immigrants, international and first-generation college students. JCCC has a diverse student population and is dedicated to increasing its diversity. The successful applicant for this job will teach the equivalent of 5-10 credit hours per semester in Japanese or will serve as a substitute for day and/or evening courses. This person will perform other duties expected of adjunct faculty, to include collaborating and working successfully with other full-time and adjunct faculty in the Foreign Language department and other duties as assigned.
EMT Lab Clinician Overland Park Main Campus
Psychomotor instruction- Lab Clinicians are responsible for assessing, reviewing and correcting student performance within the psychomotor domain in small group settings. Equipment maintenance- Lab Clinicians are required to be responsible stewards of JCCC and program equipment and facilities Ability to work 5-10 hours per week (during scheduled lab times).

Evening Adult Basic Education/GED Instructor Olathe Health Education Center (OHEC)
Provide learner-centered instruction for basic literacy and math through high school equivalency/college readiness skills in reading, writing, math computation, applied math, science, and social studies in preparation for taking the 2014 GED® exam. Create individual education plans for each learner and monitor progress toward passing the 2014 GED® exam. Instruct students one-on-one and in small groups. Guide and supervise ongoing study. Engage community volunteers to assist with one-on-one instruction with learners. Create reports and maintain records. Participate in professional development events.
Assistant Professor, Plumbing Technology Overland Park Main Campus
The JCCC Plumbing Technology department is seeking a full-time faculty instructor to teach every course in the plumbing program. Our program prepares students to work as journeyman licensed plumbers in a commercial and/or a residential setting. Tutor I - Nursing & A&P Olathe Health Education Center (OHEC)
Tutor students in the LPN program & Anatomy & Physiology course. Tutor will provide support to students in the LPN program and A&P courses in OHEC with content material, help students with critical thinking skills, provide assistance with clinicals, and prepare for exams. Students have been found struggling to connect their subject matter with real life scenarios. The tutor will provide coaching to help students connect content matter with real life scenarios which is key to students in LPN program.

This position is responsible for developing and leading Johnson County Community College’s (JCCC) compensation program and initiatives.
